Apparently (Coming from a guy in my alliances words) it's nerfing rit spike without nerfing the actual rit.
Which I don't really care about because RA/Ta was my haven away from all those stupid ass shrine caps.
edit:
I dunno, I was so looking forward to this weekends bonus, but now I can't even get a streak through RA because of this crap

Adding HB arenas to RA and TA is an EXCELLENT idea by Anet. Keep them in there it gives new challenges to them and makes them less boring.

I'm sorry do you RA at all?
I get your point; but it's friggin RANDOM ARENAS. That means the people around you are random. That means no one's quite working together here. That means that you're going to spent 5 out of the ten minutes trying to either explain or get people to move their asses to a point to just lose.
Still feeling rather ~ugh~
In TA it would work better because at least you know that they know how to cap a shrine.

The Hb maps are a lot of fun adds more tactical play its really fun in TA, with the lack of coordination in RA its not as big an improvement but still takes away some of the problems with the straight up 4v4 play. However it would be nice if one team got say a 10 point lead they would win (kinda like HA relic runs) instead of having to wait for the full 20 even tho you are slaughtering them.

At ArenaNet:
Every time you do something stupid with this game, I kill a kitten. When I run out of kittens, I will move on to cockroaches. Do you really want the roaches to die?
And yes, HB in RA/TA qualifies as stupid.

Yea i think the implementation is just a little flawed.
When you HB, you get 1 point per victory, in RA/TA, you only get one more to a compulsory 5/10/15/20 victories, and it does seem very disproportionate.
Most of the Cap maps usually take significantly longer than the normal maps
I won't go as far as saying the maps are an unenjoyable form of gameplay, because i played it a fair bit today with guildies, while thinking up and experimenting with different builds, and i think including it is very refreshing. The change forced us to incorporate split capabilities into all our builds, and a lot of the old cookie cutters definetly won't cut it anymore =P.
It's a refreshing change IMO that needs just a bit of polish

I tried playing RA and rage quited because the HB maps were so bad with random people.
Oh, and did I mention how boring they are too?

I don't understand ppl why is this bad?
HB is a bad thing, because of the bad AI, but 4v4 with shrines is not bad idea.
most of the ppl say that there is no killing, just running around caping shrines, well that's not true at all, there's a lot of small skirmishs around the map, and the best thing in the adition of new maps is the elimination of the one sided gimmick fest and rock, paper scissors gameplay of curent TA.
Oh and anet pls remove shadowstep , and spirits if you really want to see the new maps shine!!

OK here comes a surprise! While I do hate HB, so far I had fun playing HB maps in RA!
I still think they would probably be bad in *TA*. Also, I very rarely play GW anymore (lots of reasons, and still no skin unlocks for casual players) - so take this with a grain of salt. By no means will i vote for HB maps, but I wouldn't vote against em either. So far they seem refreshing.

Very cheap.... No time to develop new content, No time to fix broken content, so lets mix game elements??!!
HB and "normal" game play are very different and if you want to be successful you need very different skill bars. This adds unnecessary random advantages/disadvantages to teams in both arenas. In TA, it is a move in the direction of "build wars" and in RA it will create even more "pointless" game (=the outcome of the match is already decided based on the builds of the players).

Yes, this change indeed is refreshing, however there is the problem:
What is cool and refreshing is not so good in long run. It can generate praise, but that would be skewed by stuff like bonus weekend attachted to it or it beign simply new.
I learned my lessing with 6man HA ... it was nice during event and lotsa fun, but it became problem for ha, fast.

Keep it in TA please but take it out of RA. That way, people won't play their Assa-KDway, Dolyak Spearway, Fearmeway, and whateverway they use because they can't win with the HB maps and it'll bring a change to the builds used instead of the current roll-you-in-less-than-1-min metagame. Lol @ dolyak in HB.
